CANADA EXPORT SME

Canada has a program called CanExport SMEs, which helps small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) expand into global markets. This initiative, run by Canada’s Trade Commissioner Service, provides funding to support international business development activities. Eligible businesses can receive up to $50,000 to cover 50% of costs related to exporting products or services to new markets.

The program focuses on export diversification, meaning businesses can target either the United States or international markets, but not both. It covers expenses such as:

  • Travel for trade missions, meetings, and conferences
  • Market intelligence research
  • Intellectual property protection in foreign markets
  • Translation and adaptation of marketing materials

Applications for the 2025-2026 fiscal year are open until May 31, 2025.
