The Ontario Made Manufacturing Investment Tax Credit (OMMITC) is a refundable corporate income tax credit designed to support manufacturers in Ontario. It helps businesses lower costs, innovate, and become more competitive by providing financial incentives for investments in buildings, machinery, and equipment used in manufacturing or processing.

Recently, Ontario announced enhancements to the OMMITC, increasing the tax credit from 10% to 15% for Canadian-controlled private corporations. Additionally, non-Canadian-controlled private corporations will now be eligible for a non-refundable tax credit. The maximum credit a corporation can receive has also increased from $2 million to $3 million per year.
